Here are all the projects I have worked on either by myself or with a team during my time at Full Sail University.
Sneaky Sneaky is a project I did to when I was studying AI and state machines in Unreal Engine. In this project I made a guard who has multiple states, the guards would be able to detect the player and if they detect the player they would go to an alarm and set it off. The player could also distract the guards by pressing a button. The states of the guards include idle, patrol, alarmed, and distracted. The guards would patrol around going to set points and then idle there for a few seconds before moving onto the next area. I also added a a debug mode that allows the player to manually change the state of the guards.
The space shooter is a game where the player needs to shoot asteroids that break apart into smaller ones when destroyed. The main emphasis of this assignment was blueprint communication. Within this project I was responsible for many things. For the player I added the ability to shoot and gave them lives with the ability to die/game over. I also set up a wave and score system that so the player could see what wave they are on and their current score. I was also responsible for setting up the asteroids and their random movement.
This project was the second week of working on a team. We were given a few templates and was told to choose one. We as a team chose the FPS template. The features I added were the health UI and it functioning and made the mechanic to fire at the enemies. Once I finished those two features I added a few game feel elements to enhance the game. The first one was adding a sound effect whenever the user fires, and also have different sound effect for each type of ammo as well. Next, I added a different material type to each ammo type so the user knows which one they are firing.
This was the final project with a team. I created two levels within this project. Each level has elements from other teammates as well. Aside from creating the levels, the features I added to the project that everyone used were the mini-map, crouch and sprint mechanic and assigning āEā as the interact action. We also collaborated with a few artists in the last weeks of the project in order to create designs for our main character and our enemies and bosses through the project.
